Nilgiri Mountain Railway, Mettupalayam Station

The Nilgiri Mountain Railway at Mettupalayam Station is the lower terminus of the 46 km UNESCO World Heritage mountain railway connecting Mettupalayam to Udagamandalam (Ooty) in the Nilgiri Hills, Tamil Nadu. Built between 1899 and 1908, it uses the Abt rack-and-pinion system to climb steep gradients. Oliver Hill Battery

Oliver Hill Battery is a preserved World War II coastal defence installation on Rottnest Island, Western Australia, about 19 kilometres off the coast of Fremantle. Constructed between 1936 and 1938 to protect Fremantle Port, it features two 9.2-inch naval guns, underground tunnels, magazines and observation posts. Pichi Richi Railway
