History of Lower Seletar Reservoir Park
Lower Seletar Reservoir was formed in 1986 by damming the lower reaches of the Seletar River under Singapore's water supply expansion programme managed by the Public Utilities Board. The reservoir and surrounding park were developed to increase water catchment and provide recreational space for the growing Yishun new town.
