History of Springleaf Nature Park
The Springleaf area was formerly part of rubber plantations and the Nee Soon village area. The site was developed by the National Parks Board as part of the Central Nature Park Network to serve as a buffer for the ecologically sensitive Nee Soon freshwater swamp forest, one of Singapore's last remaining freshwater swamp forests. The park officially opened on 1 November 2024.
