History of Dairy Farm Nature Park
The area was part of a dairy farm established by Cold Storage in the 1930s to produce milk locally. Farm buildings included cowsheds, one of which now houses the Wallace Education Centre. The Wallace Trail commemorates British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace, who collected specimens in the Bukit Timah area in the 1850s and developed ideas on evolution by natural selection.
