Ningaloo Reef is a 260 km long fringing coral reef off the North West Cape near Exmouth in Western Australia. Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011, it is the largest fringing reef in Australia and one of the few places where the reef is accessible directly from the beach. It is renowned for its biodiversity, pristine coral formations and seasonal aggregations of whale sharks, manta rays and turtles.
