About The Gap and Natural Bridge
The Gap and Natural Bridge are granite coastal formations in Torndirrup National Park, about 19 km south of Albany, Western Australia. The Gap is a 24-metre-high sheer chasm where the Southern Ocean surges, while Natural Bridge is a granite arch shaped by wave erosion. Linked by sealed walkways and accessible lookout platforms, they are among Albany's most visited natural attractions for coastal scenery and photography.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect dramatic Southern Ocean views from secure, accessible lookout platforms over sheer granite cliffs. The Gap features a cantilevered platform extending over the chasm with views of powerful swells below. A short sealed walkway connects to Natural Bridge, a natural granite arch over the ocean. The site is exposed and windswept with interpretive signage, sealed paths, and expansive views of the coastline and Torndirrup National Park.
