About Kelly Hill Caves
Kelly Hill Caves is a limestone cave system within Kelly Hill Conservation Park on the southwestern coast of Kangaroo Island, South Australia. The complex features extensive underground chambers decorated with stalactites, stalagmites, helictites and flowstone. Accessible only by guided tour, the caves are the island's only developed show caves. The site also offers adventure caving experiences and above-ground walking trails through native bushland.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a guided underground experience through limestone chambers with stalactites, stalagmites, straws, shawls and other calcite formations. The show cave tour follows lit pathways with stairs and handrails, while adventure caving tours explore undeveloped sections requiring crawling and climbing. Above ground, the conservation park offers coastal mallee bushland, sinkholes, walking trails and a visitor centre with interpretive displays.
