History of Coastal Trail
The trail lies within the coastal forest and shoreline area adjacent to Fort Siloso, a preserved 19th-century coastal fort. The surrounding landscape reflects Sentosa's evolution from a military outpost (formerly Pulau Blakang Mati) to a leisure island, retaining natural coastal forest and rocky shore habitats that illustrate the island's original coastal ecology.
