About Cape Borda Lighthouse
Cape Borda Lighthouse is a historic lightstation at the north-west tip of Kangaroo Island in Flinders Chase National Park, South Australia. Built in 1858 from local limestone, it is the only square lighthouse in South Australia and the third oldest in the state. It overlooks Investigator Strait and served as a vital aid for ships navigating the treacherous waters off Kangaroo Island.
