History of Canopy Walk
Kent Ridge, formerly Pasir Panjang Ridge, was the site of the Battle of Pasir Panjang in February 1942 during World War II. The Canopy Walk itself was developed as part of the Southern Ridges project by the National Parks Board and Urban Redevelopment Authority, completed in 2008, to link Kent Ridge Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park into a continuous 10-kilometre trail network.
