Dhamnar Buddhist Caves
Dhamnar Buddhist Caves are a group of 51 rock-cut caves located on a hill near Dhamnar village in Mandsaur district, Madhya Pradesh. Excavated between the 5th and 7th centuries CE, the complex includes Buddhist chaitya halls, viharas and stupas with later Hindu additions. Notable for its large chaitya cave, colossal seated Buddha statue and the monolithic Dharmarajeshwar Temple, the site reflects early Buddhist rock-cut architecture and regional heritage.
