Brisbane Powerhouse
Brisbane Powerhouse is a contemporary arts and cultural centre housed in a heritage-listed former power station on the Brisbane River at New Farm, Brisbane, Queensland. Built in 1927-1928 to supply electricity to Brisbane's tram network, it was decommissioned in 1971 and redeveloped as an arts venue in 2000. It is notable for its industrial architecture, riverside setting, and program of theatre, comedy, music, visual arts and festivals.
