Brickendon Estate
Brickendon Estate is a World Heritage-listed colonial farming estate near Longford in northern Tasmania's Northern Midlands. Established in 1824 by William Archer, it remains a working farm operated by descendants of the original family. The property preserves Georgian farm buildings, a convict village, gardens and agricultural landscape illustrating the convict assignment system. Inscribed as part of the Australian Convict Sites, it offers insight into early colonial pastoral life.
