Gaiety Heritage Cultural Complex
Gaiety Heritage Cultural Complex is a historic Victorian Gothic theatre located on The Ridge in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Opened on May 30, 1887, and designed by architect Henry Irwin, it served as a premier entertainment venue during the British Raj. The complex has been restored and now functions as a vibrant cultural hub featuring an old theatre hall, art gallery, exhibition hall, multi-purpose hall, and amphitheatre. It remains a significant landmark representing Shimla's colonial architectural heritage and performing arts tradition.
