Indra Lingam
Indra Lingam is one of the Ashta Lingams encircling Arunachala Hill in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, located on the eastern side of the Girivalam path. Dedicated to Lord Indra, the guardian of the east, it is the first lingam encountered during the traditional clockwise circumambulation. The small open shrine houses a Shiva lingam and is revered by pilgrims performing Girivalam, especially on full moon days, as part of the sacred 14 km circuit around the holy hill.
