Shakambhari Mata Temple
Shakambhari Mata Temple is an ancient Hindu shrine located near Sambhar Lake in Jaipur district, Rajasthan. Believed to be approximately 2,500 years old, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Shakambhari, an incarnation of Durga and the goddess of vegetation and nourishment. It served as the kuldevi (family deity) of the Chauhan Rajput dynasty and is one of three principal Shaktipeeths associated with the goddess. The temple sits on a rocky outcrop jutting into India's largest inland salt lake.
