Kukkuteswara Swamy Temple
Kukkuteswara Swamy Temple is a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Pithapuram, Kakinada district, Andhra Pradesh. Situated within the same complex as the Puruhutika Devi Shakti Peetha, it is revered as a sacred Shaivite and Shakta pilgrimage centre. The temple features traditional South Indian architecture, a sacred pond called Padagaya Sarovaram, and is closely associated with the legend of Gayasura and the Dattatreya avatar Sripada Sri Vallabha.
