Chootad Beach is a scenic coastal destination located in Puthiyangadi near Pazhayangadi in Kannur district, Kerala. The beach features a unique geographical setting with the Arabian Sea on one side and backwaters on the other, backed by the 286-foot Ezhimala hills. Developed as a beach park under the District Tourism Promotion Council, it offers casuarina-lined shores, boating facilities, and children's recreational areas.
Lancelin Sand Dunes are expansive coastal white sand dunes located on the edge of the town of Lancelin in the Shire of Gingin, about 127 km north of Perth, Western Australia. Covering around 2 km of dunes up to 30 metres high, they are the largest dunes of their kind in Western Australia. Notable for bright white sand, open desert-like landscape and proximity to the Indian Ocean, they are a major recreation area for sandboarding and off-road driving.
Little Sahara is a vast natural sand dune system on the south coast of Kangaroo Island in South Australia, near Vivonne Bay. Covering about two square kilometres, the white dunes rise inland from the coast and reach heights of around 70 metres. Formed over thousands of years, the dunes are a distinctive natural attraction known for sandboarding, tobogganing and panoramic views over the surrounding bushland and coastline.
The Worimi Sand Dunes at Birubi Beach in Anna Bay, Port Stephens, New South Wales, form part of the Stockton Bight Sand Dunes, the largest moving coastal sand mass in the Southern Hemisphere.
