Gulmarg Gondola in Gulmarg, Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir, is one of the world's highest operating cable cars, operated by Jammu and Kashmir Cable Car Corporation. It runs in two phases from Gulmarg (2,650 m) to Kongdoori (3,080 m) and then to Apharwat Peak (3,980 m). Notable for panoramic Himalayan views, access to skiing slopes, and year-round scenic rides over snow-covered meadows and pine forests.
Nathang Valley is a high-altitude valley located at about 13,500 feet in Pakyong district, East Sikkim, along the historic Old Silk Route connecting India and Tibet. Surrounded by snow-covered mountains and alpine meadows, it is known for its seasonal snow cover, yak grazing grounds, and panoramic Himalayan views. Padri Meadow is a high-altitude alpine meadow located about 40 kilometres from Bhaderwah town in Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir, along the Bhaderwah-Chamba road at Padri Pass. Situated at around 3,050-3,200 metres elevation, it is known for expansive grasslands, seasonal snow cover and panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges. The meadow is a popular day-trip destination for sightseeing, photography and snow activities near the Jammu and Kashmir-Himachal Pradesh border.
Thajiwas Glacier is a small valley glacier located about 3 km from Sonamarg in Ganderbal district, Jammu and Kashmir, at an altitude of around 9,186 feet (2,800 m) in the Himalayas. Fed by snow from surrounding peaks, it remains snow-covered for most of the year. Notable for its easy accessibility via a short trek or pony ride from Sonamarg, it offers snow slopes, meltwater streams and panoramic mountain scenery, making it a popular day excursion from Srinagar.
