Tyavarekoppa Lion and Tiger Safari

Tyavarekoppa Lion and Tiger Safari is a wildlife safari park located about 10 km from Shivamogga city in Karnataka, on the Shivamogga-Sagar road. Managed by the Karnataka Forest Department, it was established in 1988 and houses lions, tigers, and other animals in naturalistic enclosures. The park offers guided bus safaris through forested enclosures and a small zoo area, making it a popular family and wildlife attraction in the Malnad region.

Visitors can expect a forested safari park with enclosed habitats for lions and tigers viewed from secure safari buses or vans operated by the forest department. The complex also includes a small zoo with leopards, deer, birds and other animals, along with open forested surroundings, ticket counters, and basic visitor amenities. The experience involves short guided drives through the safari enclosures and walking around the zoo area.
