History of Tu Su Bird Garden
Tu Su Bird Garden is a private conservation area developed by the family of Mr. Tran Van Su (known as Tu Su) on household wetland in Tri Phai Commune. Over years of protecting trees and not hunting birds, the area naturally attracted increasing numbers of waterbirds and was later opened for visitors as an ecotourism site, becoming one of the recognized bird gardens of Ca Mau Province.
Culture & Context
The garden represents community-based ecotourism and local conservation practice in the Mekong Delta, where private households protect bird habitats. It is used for nature education and as a rural attraction showcasing the wetland ecology and birdlife of Ca Mau.
