History of Suntec City
Suntec City was developed in the late 1980s to early 1990s as part of the Marina Centre reclamation project and opened in phases between 1994 and 1997. Designed by I.M. Pei and Partners with feng shui principles, the five towers and Fountain of Wealth symbolize a hand with a wealth fountain in the palm. It was one of Singapore's largest private commercial developments at the time and established the city as a regional MICE destination.
