About Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay
Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay is Singapore's national performing arts centre located on Marina Bay in the Downtown Core's Marina Centre. Opened in 2002, it is recognizable by its twin domed roofs clad in aluminium sunshades. It houses a 1,600-seat Concert Hall, 2,000-seat Theatre, studios, and outdoor performance spaces, and presents free and ticketed music, dance, theatre and visual arts programmes year-round.

Visitors can expect a waterfront arts complex with two distinctive domed venues, open public concourses, an outdoor theatre facing Marina Bay, and landscaped waterfront promenade. Inside are concert and theatre halls, rehearsal studios, the Esplanade Library, shops and restaurants. Public areas are freely accessible for sightseeing and photography, while ticketed halls host performances. Free daily programmes are often held at the Concourse and Outdoor Theatre.
