About Sri Someshwara Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple
The Sri Someshwara Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is a historic cave temple located atop Someswara Gutta hill at approximately 120 meters height in Palakurthi, Jangaon District, Telangana. Visitors guide
Visitors can explore two natural cave sanctums carved into the hillside, connected by a natural pradakshina path (circumambulatory route). The climb involves approximately 365 steps or an alternative motorable road. Inside the narrow caves, visitors encounter black stone sculptures including dwarapalikas resembling Shiva in Nataraja posture and a Nandi bull at the entrance. The rocky terrain offers scenic views of surrounding greenery and the natural rock ceiling creates a cool atmosphere within the caves.
