Akkamahadevi Caves
Akkamahadevi Caves are naturally formed limestone caves located on the northern bank of the Krishna River within the Nallamala Hills in Nagarkurnool District, Telangana. Named after the 12th-century saint-poet Akka Mahadevi who performed penance here, the caves feature a massive natural rock arch and house a Swayambhu Shivalinga at the innermost sanctum. Accessible only by boat from Pathala Ganga near Srisailam, the site combines spiritual significance with natural geological formations.
