History of Sri Siddharameshwara Swamy Temple
The temple dates back to the 15th century and was built by two saints named Siddagiri and Ramagiri who were meditating in the region. According to legend, a divine cow used to pour milk at a particular spot daily, revealing the location of a Swayambhu (self-manifested) Shiva Lingam buried underground. The saints constructed the temple at this spot after Lord Shiva appeared to them in a dream instructing them to do so. The temple derives its name from the combination of the two saints' names.
