History of Mount Faber Park
Originally known as Telok Blangah Hill, the hill was renamed in July 1845 after Captain Charles Edward Faber of the Madras Engineers, who constructed a narrow winding road to the summit. It served as a signal station and communications site and is one of Singapore's earliest parks, later integrated into the Southern Ridges park connector network.
