It is widely recognized as a gathering place for the Filipino community in Singapore, especially on Sundays.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a busy, multi-storey shopping centre along Orchard Road with a mix of small independent shops rather than large department stores. The interior has narrow corridors lined with shops selling cosmetics, perfumes, electronics, souvenirs, and affordable fashion, plus Filipino grocery stores, remittance services, and eateries. The ground floor and basement have money changers and food outlets. The atmosphere is lively and crowded, especially on Sundays, with a local, budget-friendly character distinct from luxury malls nearby.

History of Lucky Plaza
Developed by Far East Organization and designed by BEP Akitek, Lucky Plaza was completed in 1978 and opened in 1981. The building is noted for its distinctive stepped facade and early strata-titled retail concept.
Culture & Context
Lucky Plaza is widely known as a social and cultural hub for the Filipino community in Singapore, particularly on Sundays when overseas Filipino workers gather to shop, dine, send remittances and meet friends. The concentration of Filipino eateries, grocery stores and services gives the mall a distinct community character within the Orchard Road area.
