History of ION Orchard
Developed by Orchard Turn Developments Pte Ltd, a joint venture between CapitaLand and Sun Hung Kai Properties, on the site above Orchard MRT station. Construction began in 2006 and the mall officially opened on 21 July 2009, replacing the former park and MRT entrance area and becoming a landmark redevelopment of Orchard Road.
