History of Loh Samah Bay
Loh Samah Bay is part of the Phi Phi Islands, a limestone karst archipelago. The islands are protected as part of Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park established in 1983. The bay was developed with a pier and trail to provide managed access to Maya Bay and reduce environmental impact on the beach and reef.
