History of Kingscote Silo Art
The silos were originally built for grain storage serving the Kangaroo Island agricultural district. Disused silos were later repurposed as a canvas for public art as part of the Australian Silo Art Trail initiative to support regional tourism, with the Kingscote murals completed in the early 2020s.
