Kanha Shanti Vanam was developed by the Heartfulness Institute under the guidance of Kamlesh D. Patel (Daaji). Foundation work began around 2016 on former arid land, transforming it into a green township. The main meditation hall was inaugurated in February 2020 by the President of India. It was conceived as a global centre for Heartfulness Raja Yoga meditation and sustainable living.
Culture & Context
The centre is the global headquarters for Heartfulness meditation, a Raja Yoga-based practice focused on inner well-being, relaxation and spiritual development. It hosts large meditation gatherings, wellness retreats, and training programs attracting national and international practitioners, and promotes environmental conservation through large-scale afforestation.
