About Gravity Discovery Centre
The Gravity Discovery Centre is a science education and astronomy centre located at Yeal near Gingin, about 90 km north of Perth, Western Australia. Co-located with the Gingin Observatory on the site of the Australian International Gravitational Observatory, it focuses on gravity, cosmology and astronomy. Notable features include a 45-metre leaning tower for free-fall experiments, interactive cosmology gallery, observatory telescopes and bushland walks.
Visitors guide
Visitors can explore an indoor cosmology gallery with interactive exhibits on gravity, time and the universe, climb the 45-metre leaning tower to participate in water-drop gravity experiments, and visit the Gingin Observatory for solar viewing by day and telescope stargazing on scheduled night sessions. The site is set in open bushland with walking trails, outdoor science installations, picnic areas and views of the surrounding countryside.
