About Exhibition Park in Canberra
Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) is Canberra's largest multi-purpose exhibition and events venue, located in Mitchell in the northern suburbs of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. Established in 1976 as the permanent home of the Royal Canberra Show, it covers 70 hectares with pavilions, outdoor grounds and arenas. It is notable for hosting major annual events including Summernats, the National Folk Festival and the Capital Region Farmers Market.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a large, open events precinct with indoor pavilions, outdoor showgrounds, arenas and sealed and grassed areas. The setting is flat and functional, designed for exhibitions, festivals, markets and shows rather than parkland recreation. During events, visitors will find trade displays, stages, food outlets, market stalls and entertainment areas. Outside major events the site is quieter and access is limited to scheduled activities and administration areas.
