About Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park
Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park is a large protected area on the south coast of Kangaroo Island, South Australia. Covering coastal dunes, mallee scrub, wetlands and the Murray Lagoon, the park is notable for its diverse habitats and wildlife. It protects the island's largest lagoon, long sandy beaches at D'Estrees Bay, and important bird and mammal populations within a relatively undisturbed coastal wilderness.
