About Alfred Caves
Alfred Caves are a network of 41 natural limestone caves located near Ramnagar in Diglipur on North Andaman Island, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Formed over thousands of years, the caves feature stalactites, stalagmites and narrow passages surrounded by dense evergreen forest. Known for bat colonies and swiftlet nests, the caves are accessed via a guided forest trek and remain largely undeveloped, offering a raw caving experience in a remote natural setting.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a guided trek of about 1-2 km through dense evergreen forest to reach a cluster of dark limestone caves with narrow passages, low ceilings, stalactites and stalagmites. Inside, caves are unlit and house bats and swiftlets.
