Ban Tha Rae

Ban Tha Rae is a historic Catholic village in Tha Rae Subdistrict, Mueang Sakon Nakhon District, Sakon Nakhon Province, northeastern Thailand, on the shore of Nong Han Lake about 21 km from Sakon Nakhon city. Established in 1884 by Vietnamese Catholic migrants with French missionaries, it is Thailand's largest Catholic community. Ming Mueang Field

Ming Mueang Field is a large central public field and town square in That Choeng Chum, Mueang Sakon Nakhon, Sakon Nakhon City, northeastern Thailand. Nam Pung Dam

Nam Pung Dam is an earthfill dam on the Nam Pung River in Kut Bak District, Sakon Nakhon Province, northeastern Thailand, at the foothills of the Phu Phan Mountains. Completed in 1965 as Thailand's first rockfill dam with a clay core, it forms the Nam Pung Reservoir. The dam supports irrigation, hydroelectric power generation and flood control, and is notable for its scenic reservoir, mountain backdrop and viewpoint popular with visitors.

Nam Un Dam

Nam Un Dam is an earthfill dam and reservoir in Nikhom Nam Un District, Sakon Nakhon Province, northeastern Thailand. Built on the Nam Un River, a tributary of the Songkhram River, it was constructed between 1965 and 1974. The dam is 29.5 meters high and 1,720 meters long, impounding a reservoir with a capacity of about 520 million cubic meters for irrigation, flood control and fisheries, and is a local sightseeing and recreation area.

Nong Han Lake

Phang Thong Pond

Phang Thong Pond (Sa Phang Thong) is a historic artificial pond in That Choeng Chum Subdistrict, Mueang Sakon Nakhon District, Sakon Nakhon City, northeastern Thailand. Believed to date to the Khmer period, it served as an ancient reservoir within the old city area. Today it is a small urban water feature surrounded by roads and residential areas, maintained as a public historic site near the city centre and close to Nong Han Lake.

Phra That Phu Phek

Phra That Phu Phek is an ancient Khmer temple ruin atop Phu Phek mountain in Phanna Nikhom District, Sakon Nakhon Province, northeastern Thailand. Built of laterite in the 11th century during the Khmer Empire, the unfinished chedi stands on a 491-meter-high hill reached by 491 stone steps. It is notable for its Baphuon-style architecture, solar alignment phenomenon, and later use as a Buddhist religious site.
