The Mahatma Gandhi Museum in Rajkot, Gujarat, is housed in the historic Alfred High School where Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi studied from 1880 to 1887. Located on Jawahar Road near Kaba Gandhi No Delo, the heritage building was converted into a modern museum and inaugurated in 2018. It showcases Gandhi's early life, Rajkot's history and India's freedom struggle through 39 galleries with photographs, paintings, audio-visual displays and memorabilia.
The Statue of Unity Museum and Exhibition is located in the pedestal of the 182-metre Statue of Unity at Ekta Nagar (Kevadia) in Narmada district, Gujarat. Dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, it presents his life, role in India's freedom movement and integration of princely states through artefacts, photographs, audio-visual displays and scale models. Inaugurated with the statue on 31 October 2018, it forms a core part of the Statue of Unity complex on the Narmada River.
The Vadnagar Archaeological Experiential Museum in Vadnagar, Mehsana district, Gujarat, is India's first archaeological experiential museum. Spread over 12,500 square metres near the excavated site, it showcases over 2,500 years of continuous human habitation through seven cultural periods. Developed jointly by the Archaeological Survey of India and the Government of Gujarat, the museum displays more than 5,000 artefacts, immersive galleries, and a walkway over the live excavation trench.
