Shri Damodar Temple
Shri Damodar Temple is a historic Hindu temple situated on the banks of the Kushawati River in Zambaulim, South Goa. Dedicated to Lord Shiva in his Damodar form, the deity was relocated here from Margao in 1567 to escape Portuguese destruction. The temple complex also houses deities of Chamundeshwari, Mahakali, and Mahesha. It is a significant religious site for the Gowda Saraswat Brahmin community and features traditional Goan temple architecture with intricate carvings.
