St. Jerome Fort (Nani Daman Fort)
St. Jerome Fort, commonly known as Nani Daman Fort, is a compact Portuguese fort in Nani Daman on the northern bank of the Daman Ganga River in Daman. Constructed between 1614 and 1627, it is smaller than Moti Daman Fort opposite the river. Notable for its stone ramparts, arched gateway with statues, and the Church of Our Lady of the Sea inside, it reflects Portuguese colonial military architecture and offers views of the river and Arabian Sea.
