Marble Bar
Marble Bar is a small historic town in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia, located about 150 km southeast of Port Hedland on the Coongan River. It is famous for its namesake jasper bar and for recording extreme heat, including 160 consecutive days above 37.8°C in 1923-24. Established during an 1890s gold rush, it retains heritage buildings and serves as a gateway to Pilbara gorges and outback landscapes.
