Comedy Theatre
The Comedy Theatre is a heritage-listed commercial theatre at 240 Exhibition Street in central Melbourne, Victoria. Opened in 1928 and designed by architect Charles N. Hollinshed for J.C. Williamson Ltd, it forms part of Melbourne's East End Theatre District. Operated by the Marriner Group, the approximately 1,000-seat venue hosts major musicals, plays, comedy and live entertainment, and is noted for its Spanish-style interior, intimate auditorium and central city location near Parliament Station.
