Stanley
Stanley is a small historic village in the Indigo Shire of north-east Victoria, located about 8 kilometres south-east of Beechworth on the slopes of the Stanley State Forest. Established during the 1850s gold rush, it is notable for its well-preserved gold-era buildings, cool-climate apple and nut orchards, and forested high-country setting. The village retains a quiet rural character and serves as a gateway to bushwalking and heritage touring in the Beechworth area.
