Creswick
Creswick is a historic gold-mining town in the Shire of Hepburn in central Victoria, about 18 kilometres north of Ballarat and 122 kilometres northwest of Melbourne. Established during the 1850s Victorian gold rush, it became one of the state's richest alluvial goldfields. Today it is noted for its well-preserved 19th-century streetscape, the Creswick Woollen Mills, surrounding forests and lakes, and its role as the home of Victoria's former School of Forestry.
