Uchchaith Bhagwati Temple

Uchchaith Bhagwati Temple is a revered Hindu temple located in Uchchaith village, Benipatti block, Madhubani district, Bihar. Dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati (Durga), it is regarded as a Shakti Peetha and an important pilgrimage centre in the Mithila region. The temple is traditionally associated with the Sanskrit poet Kalidasa, who is believed to have gained knowledge through the goddess's blessings here.
