Fern Glade Platypus Reserve
Fern Glade Platypus Reserve is a protected nature reserve on the Emu River about 3 kilometres east of central Burnie in north-west Tasmania. Managed by the City of Burnie, it preserves riparian rainforest and river habitat known for wild platypus sightings. The reserve features walking tracks, boardwalks and sheltered viewing platforms along the river. It is valued as one of Tasmania's most accessible places to observe platypus in the wild in a natural bushland setting close to the city.
