Granite Island
Granite Island is a small coastal island and recreation park located immediately offshore from Victor Harbor in South Australia, connected to the mainland by a 630-metre timber causeway. Known for its large granite boulders, coastal walking trails and colony of little penguins, the island is accessed on foot or via the historic horse-drawn tram. It offers panoramic views of Encounter Bay and is a protected nature reserve managed by National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia.
