Waite Arboretum
The Waite Arboretum is a 27-hectare arboretum on the University of Adelaide's Waite Campus at Urrbrae in the City of Mitcham, about 8 km southeast of Adelaide. Established in 1928 from pastoralist Peter Waite's bequest to the University, it conserves around 2,500 specimens representing over 1,000 taxa, especially from arid and Mediterranean climates. Notable for its scientific, educational and conservation value, it offers labelled collections, seasonal colour and free public access.
