Catacomb Church
The Catacomb Church is an underground church in Coober Pedy, South Australia, carved into sandstone in the town's opal mining landscape. Located on Crowders Gully Road, it serves as an interdenominational Christian church and visitor attraction. Hand-excavated in the 1970s, it is notable for its subterranean architecture, simple stone altar, pews carved from rock, and cool interior that demonstrates Coober Pedy's distinctive underground way of life.
