Whispering Wall
The Whispering Wall is the retaining wall of the Barossa Reservoir near Williamstown in the Barossa region of South Australia, about 60 km northeast of Adelaide. Completed in 1903, the 144-metre-long curved concrete dam wall is famous for its acoustic effect where whispers at one end are clearly heard at the other. Set within Barossa Reservoir Reserve, it combines engineering heritage, scenic reservoir views and picnic grounds.
